🌴🌊🐬🏝️🇱🇰 Hello everyone! Pooja here, excited to share my 7-day trip to Sri Lanka with my younger brother, Pranav. It was an amazing journey filled with beautiful sights, delicious food, and unforgettable experiences.

Our trip began with a flight to Colombo, the capital city of Sri Lanka. The moment we stepped out of the airport, we were greeted by the warm sun and the gentle sea breeze. It was truly a breathtaking sight!

📍Day 1: Colombo City Tour

Our first stop was the Galle Face Green Promenade where we enjoyed the cool ocean breeze and took some amazing pictures. We then visited the beautiful Gangaramaya Temple, which is a mix of various architectural styles and houses a sacred boat. Afterward, we explored the lively streets of Pettah Market, where we shopped for souvenirs and snacks.

🌴Day 2: Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and Kandy City Tour

The highlight of our second day was visiting the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where we got to see baby elephants and their mothers bathing in the river. It was truly a magical experience! We also visited the Temple of the Tooth Relic and the Royal Botanical Gardens in Kandy.

🌊Day 3: Nuwara Eliya and Strawberry Farm

Our third day was all about nature as we visited the beautiful Nuwara Eliya city and the nearby Strawberry Farm. The cool climate and picturesque views of the tea plantations made it a perfect spot for a relaxing day. We also tried our hand at picking strawberries and ended up with some juicy, fresh fruit.

🏝️Day 4: Yala National Park Safari and Mirissa Beach

Our fourth day was an adventure-filled one as we went on a safari in Yala National Park. We saw many wildlife species like elephants, crocodiles, and peacocks. The afternoon was spent relaxing at Mirissa Beach, where we enjoyed the warm sun and blue waters.

🌴Day 5: Galle Fort and Unawatuna Beach

Our fifth day was spent exploring the historic Galle Fort and the beautiful Unawatuna Beach. We strolled through the cobbled streets of the fort, admiring the colonial architecture and the stunning views of the ocean. In the evening, we enjoyed the sunset at Unawatuna Beach.

Our sixth day was filled with culture and shopping. We attended the Kandy Cultural Show, where we watched traditional dances and listened to live music. We also went on a shopping spree at the Odel and Noritake ceramic boutiques.

👶Day 7: Baby Turtle Hatchery and Colombo City Tour

Our final day began with a visit to the turtle hatchery in Bentota, where we witnessed the hatching of baby turtles and their release into the ocean. We then headed back to Colombo for some last-minute shopping and exploration. We visited the Independence Square and the Old Parliament Building before saying goodbye to this beautiful country.
